Gore Mountain

Our name says Maine
just because that's
where we started more
than 40 years ago.

But our experienced
teams are local.
We
live and work nearby.

Need drilling & blasting for new trail development?
Could you make use of our Value Engineering and Design/Build services?
Would you like to improve your snowmaking efficiency by considering our Engineering Department’s suggested modifications to existing terrain?
Need holes drilled for snow guns, fence posts or winch points?
Need rock anchors installed for foundations for lift towers?

Maine Drilling & Blasting provides drilling and blasting services for an array of ski industry needs, and we’ve been the d&b contractor of choice for projects at many Mountains in the Northeast. Why? Because experience counts and we bring a lot to the “table.”  Consider:

  • Our typical rock cuts run from 2 to 35 feet, and we can accommodate holes for snow guns and fence posts up to 10 inches in diameter.
  • We have the resources to meet demanding production schedules, including local crews.
  • Maine Drilling & Blasting drill operators are remote access/extreme terrain specialists.  Winch work is often the norm for our fleet of self-contained, hydraulic drills.
  • Our Engineering Department, in a team-based approach, can assist in on-site technical support for trail development. With use of GPS and CAD technology, our professionals can collaborate with a ski resort to help save snow costs by offering suggested modifications to existing terrain that can improve snowmaking efficiency while maintaining the character of the trails.

So, if you need a cost competitive source with the expertise it takes, contact Maine Drilling & Blasting.
